Escuela Joseph Stanley Jones
With support from individuals, corporations, and nonprofit groups, my husband and I established a computer lab in a primary school on Roatán, one of the Bay Islands of Honduras.
The school at Milton Bight was unusual for Roatán in that it was relatively new and up-to-date by island standards, making it a good candidate for a computer lab. Built through the efforts of a Swiss chapter of the Lions Club, the three-room building had a sound roof and modern electrical wiring. Although it lacked running water, air conditioning, and window screens, Escuela Joseph Stanley Jones was structurally superior to most island schools.
